Saddest sight
A butterfly pinned
Her flight stalled
In motion taken
Crimson fade
On royal blue
Flecked sienna burn
Her majesty
Is grace defined
Her moment true

One of the poems I wrote for the February issue of Tuck Magazine

A poem of pause and a moment held. The still of flight or motion, inverted to inertia. A poem constructed with majesty that has exuberant and exemplary use of tonal form. Colours that wash, language that flutters as you read. Perfect pacing and vivid detail in the make. It speaks of quiet with a concise beauty. A stunning poem : )
