Waiting on a Porcelain Queen

Kissed by dusk

The in between

These fragile lips

Blow sugar frost

A lazy tilt

Light draws slow

In sleep bound gold

An earthly yawn

Soil for slumber

Porcelain queen

Crowned ice

Her halo

Curtains lift

Centre stage

She’ll be

A stunning visually driven poem, succinct beautiful structure.

The entire structure is laced with light and wonder.

    Wonderful 🙂

“Sugar frost’…. oh such wonderful imagery…. I think I have to, uh, co-opt that (not steal, co-opt) 😉

I am with them … such beautiful words, “These fragile lips blow sugar frost”. The whole piece was stunning but those words, oh they were just so divine.

Lovely words. Nice photo choice, too.
